Understated Lighting That Quietly Highlights the Beauty of the Venue
ModuleX® was selected for ELEN Mukogaoka Yuen, a salon catering to mature women.
The interior of this beauty salon is filled with abundant natural light and features a balanced combination of different materials, including tile, glass, and metal, with the beauty of each detail standing out within the minimalist design.
To achieve the essential comfort expected of a salon, the lighting plan employs our lighting fixtures, which are glare-controlled using our original optical control technology.
Beyond eliminating unpleasant glare, particular emphasis was also placed on using the effects of light to quietly enhance the attractiveness of the architecture and materials.
In addition, our Gradation Lighting Design™ technique creates shadows and a sense of depth on the walls, further accentuating the harmony between the light, materials, and architecture.
Avoiding excessive brightness and uniform illumination and incorporating shadows and depth into the design allows the abundant natural light of daytime to transition seamlessly into artificial light after sunset, maintaining a consistent sense of refinement even as the ambiance changes over time.
The result is a space that not only enables visitors to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but also contributes to its essential value as a salon by presenting each guest’s reflection in the most flattering light.
