ModuleX® lighting was adopted for the entrance lobby and
special exhibition room of the Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art.
ModuleX® Bespoke spotlights were selected for the special exhibition
room as the client highly appreciated them for being able to faithfully
express the colors of the artworks and having multiple functions
including an extremely delicate brightness control and filter lighting,
which are necessary for a museum, in addition to a remarkably low loss
factor value.
As for the entrance lobby, a full-scale renovation of the high ceiling
was conducted when the building underwent earthquake-resistant
construction, completely renovating the large-bore and glared lighting
environment. The client was very satisfied with the new stately entrance
environment befitting a museum.
By creating beautiful graduated lighting on the wall surfaces from the
ceiling and symbolically highlighting the large pillar that extends from
the floor to the ceiling, we created a lighting design that gives a sense
of overwhelming height while ensuring sufficient brightness
by the minimum number of downlights.
For the gradation on the wall surfaces, we used reflector-controlled
ModuleX® Prism Platforms®, which do not directly light objects thanks
to our original optical control technology, to secure most of the
illuminance required in the space.
Furthermore, the minimum number of glare-controlled lighting fixtures,
which is realized by our unique optical control technology, are installed
just to supplement the Gradation Lighting® and we could successfully
finish the entrance space with a calm atmosphere as our client envisioned.
