ModuleX®︎ was selected for Converse Japan’s new offices in Jingumae
in Tokyo’s Harajuku district.

With its green facade, the building gives the impression of immersion in
its green surroundings, which include the Meiji Jingu Shrine Inner
Garden and Outer Garden, Togo-Jinja Shrine and Omotesando avenue.

For the interior building spaces, featuring brick, wood flooring,
and mortar materials, we proposed a comprehensive lighting
environment design, including lighting installation methods and
ceiling design, with the intention of creating a space that feels
spirited and free, like modern art unfolding in a good old American
streetscape.

Since many of the building's spaces are naturally illuminated from
three sides, we used our original lighting method Lighting Modulation®︎
in Viewing Angle Range and ModuleX®︎ Controls environment control
technology to ensure optimal balance between the brightness of our
lighting fixtures and natural light in office and relaxation spaces.

We also proposed the idea of integrating lighting fixtures into faux
beams, which the client adopted. Using our original Gradation Lighting
Design method, we were able to produce a space in which the graded
light blends with the interior design, as our client desired.
