BRIANZA TOKYO

ModuleX® lighting was selected for BRIANZA TOKYO, an upscale Italian
restaurant in the heart of Tokyo.

To make best use of the four-meter ceiling height, the lighting concept
for the whole space was to create a nicely modulated, tranquil interior
with subdued illumination, highlighting the various display features.

For the displays, positioned here and there throughout the space,
we used our original Lighting Modulation in Viewing Angle Range®
lighting design method to determine how much light to irradiate at
different points within the space. The wall art and the bottle shelves
are illuminated from below, while the noren curtain is lit from above.
We also adjusted the brightness balance within the space according
to the objects that need to be illuminated and
the desired atmosphere in each area.

To accentuate the design of the pendant lights and stand lights,
we used the ModuleX® Museum Platform® series of lights, which boast
an optical control technology that keeps glare to an absolute minimum.
This allowed us to make the light fixtures unnoticeable and to
extend light only where it was necessary. The result is a light
environment with just the right degree of contrast and variation.

Using our original ModuleX® Controls lighting environment control
technology, we increased the intensity of interior illumination to match
the natural light during the daytime and reduced it after dark,
switching to ensure a relaxed and pleasant visual environment
with a good degree of modulation. The changing expression of the
space throughout the day adds an extra dimension of richness
to the light environment.
